Ruby’s Organics Lipstick Survived The Day Like A Bawse. Can’t Say The Same For Myself, Though!

Paraben-free, 100% vegetarian, alcohol-free… those are some of the descriptors used on the Ruby’s Organics website for their pop-coloured products. Now, I’m all for organic beauty products, and am constantly on the lookout for ones that actually deliver on their promise. But, given that I have been mostly disappointed, the three adjectives don’t excite me.

Ruby’s Organics has successfully changed that. Before I move on to the products, let’s first take a moment to celebrate the fact that they are not tested on animals. Even though an increasing number of manufacturers to stand against animal-cruelty, this is something that must be cheered on!

I got my hands on the Poppy Pink creme blush, and Roseate lipstick. I mean, just look how pretty the colours are!

One look at their ingredient list, which includes jojoba oil, cocoa butter and vitamin E, and you’ll know that you’re applying more than just makeup. The way the blush and lipstick feel and behave through the day lives up to the brand’s claims. For one, unlike most matte lipsticks, this one feels like spreading butter on your lips. It’s smooth and not drying at all, and this holds true even a few hours later. The said lipstick behaved pretty well and did not bleed too much. It needed a quick touch-up right after lunch, but hey, who in the world can really pull of a ten-hour shift without a single break?

It’s only very recently that I’ve started using blush, and I must admit, rather irregularly. But this pop of pink had me piqued. Honestly, when I opened it, I imagined myself looking like Chucky on coke. But, to its credit, it blends super smoothly and actually leaves a palatable and flattering tint. In case you are as ignorant as I am about makeup, and are wondering how to apply creme blush, I made your job easier. I Googled it FOR you, and made a video you can watch right here:

We recently got our hands on @rubys.organics Poppy Pink cream blush... Turns out, a lot of people are confused about how to apply cream blush. So, @prachigangwani87 made a short video for you guys. Of course, if you prefer using a brush, you can definitely do that. But, we like to keep things simple, so we've gone with good old fingers. If you're using your fingers, make sure they're clean! But hey! Don't forget to apply base before you do either of this! Step 1: Apply your base Step 2: Dab the blush on Step 3: Use a Beauty blender to smoothen it out Step 4: Go conquer the day! . .. .. .. . #organicbeautyproducts #makeupideas #organicmakeup #blush #makeupvideoss #beautyritual #rubys #rubysorganics
